All itineraries, schedules, and descriptions provided are provisional and subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. If adjustments are necessary before or during the trip, we aim to provide alternatives of equivalent value and maintain the overall spirit of the journey. Any such changes will not typically result in price adjustments unless they significantly alter the nature of the trip.
1.3 Force Majeure
In the event of extreme weather, political unrest, natural disasters, or other conditions beyond our control, trips may be modified, postponed, or canceled. Refunds are not guaranteed in these circumstances, but we will strive to offer alternative solutions.
1.4 Participant Safety and Responsibility
Maca adventures involve inherent risks associated with sailing and outdoor sports. Participation is at your own risk. Our guides and skippers are experienced and will prioritize safety at all times. Participants must follow all instructions to minimize risks. If adjustments to the itinerary are necessary for safety reasons, participants must adhere to the new plan.

1.5 Fitness and Readiness
Unexpected situations, such as delayed returns due to weather or logistical challenges, may result in additional costs for participants (e.g., flight changes, extra accommodation). These costs are the responsibility of the participant, and Maca will assist in minimizing disruption wherever possible.

2.1 Insurance
Participants must have comprehensive travel insurance covering illness, accidents, and emergency transportation. Cancellation insurance is also strongly recommended.
2.2 Travel Documents
It is the participant's responsibility to verify that all travel documents are accurate and align with their booking.
2.3 Physical Fitness
Some trips may involve physical and technical demands. Participants must ensure they are in adequate physical and mental condition for the trip. Contact Maca in advance if you have concerns about fitness requirements.
2.4 Address and Contact Information
Participants are responsible for keeping Maca informed of any changes in contact details to ensure timely receipt of trip updates and documents.
2.5 Departure and Instructions
Participants must stay informed about departure details and follow instructions from Maca, crew, or other representatives. Compliance with instructions is mandatory for safety and smooth operations. Important to know if that you must follow the instructions, directions and orders given by the trip leaders during the journey.
2.6 Documents
Participants must behave respectfully toward fellow travelers, crew, and local partners. Disruptive or harmful behavior may result in removal from the trip without a refund, and participants may be liable for damages caused by negligence or intentional actions.
3.1 Deposit
Bookings must be made in writing or electronically and are binding. A 10% deposit is required to secure your spot, with the remaining balance due 60 days before departure. Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment upfront.
3.2 Payment Deadlines
Failure to pay deposits or final balances by the specified deadlines may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of any previously paid amounts.
3.3 Changes to Booking
Changes to bookings within the same season may be accommodated if feasible. Contact Maca for assistance with modifications.
4.1 Cancellation by Participants
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or mail) and confirmed by Maca. The date of cancellation is considered the date Maca receives the request. If a cancellation deadline falls on a holiday, the cancellation must be submitted on the preceding business day.

No refunds will be issued for failure to appear on the day of departure, regardless of the reason.
4.4 Organizer Cancellations
If Maca cancels a trip due to insufficient participants or other reasons, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their payment to another trip.
5.1 Compliance with Travel Regulations
As a travel operator, Maca complies with the EU laws and regulations regarding the Package Travel Act applied in Italy.
5.2 Fulfillment of Program
Maca is committed to delivering the agreed-upon program, itinerary, and activities as outlined in your travel description. However, adjustments may be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, logistical challenges, or safety concerns.
5.3 Minimum Group Size
Each Maca trip requires a minimum number of participants to proceed, typically five. If the minimum is not met, we may still be able to operate the trip for an additional fee or offer alternatives. Participants will be informed of any cancellations or changes no later than 30 days before departure. In such cases, any amounts paid can be refunded or applied to another trip.
5.4 Unforeseen Adjustments
In situations where unforeseen external circumstances, such as force majeure events, require significant itinerary changes, Maca will endeavor to provide equivalent alternatives. However, price reductions or refunds may not apply unless legally required.
5.5 Safety First
Participant safety is our top priority. Maca reserves the right to alter or cancel any part of the trip if the trip leader determines that conditions, weather, or unforeseen events may compromise safety. Participants are required to follow all safety instructions provided by guides and skippers.
5.6 Third-Party Suppliers
In some cases, Maca may act as an intermediary for services provided by third-party suppliers. For these services, the third party assumes full responsibility for their contractual obligations, and Maca cannot be held liable for any failures or shortcomings on their part.
5.7 Liability Waiver
While Maca takes every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participants must acknowledge the inherent risks associated with sailing and outdoor activities. Participation is at your own risk, and Maca cannot be held liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property resulting from participation in the trip.
6.1 Complaints During the Trip
Any issues must be reported immediately to the trip leader for resolution. If unresolved, participants may submit a formal complaint in writing after the trip.
6.2 Disputes
Disputes regarding these terms will be governed by applicable local laws and may be resolved through mediation or legal action.

Photos and videos from trips may be used in Maca’s marketing materials or shared on social media & Website. If you do not wish to be included in such content, please notify us on the latest, before departure.
